How Can I Import My Contacts From Another Provider?

If you're moving to FEA Create from another email marketing system, importing your existing contacts is simple and will save you time. You can easily bring them in using a CSV file.

Why do this?

Importing your contacts means you can continue communicating with your audience without losing valuable connections. It also allows you to seamlessly use your new FEA Create features for email campaigns.

What do I need to do beforehand?

Make sure you have your contacts exported from your previous system in a CSV file.

Check that all important information like names, email addresses, and phone numbers are included and accurate.

How long will this take?

The import process usually only takes a few minutes, depending on the size of your contact list.

Step 1. Export your data

Export your data for your email list from your current system. It will be exported in a CSV file format. You'll know it's a CSV file because it will have ".CSV" at the end of the file.

Step 2. Select "Import Contacts"

In FEA Create, select "Import" from the Subscribers tab.

Step 3. Select the CSV file

Click "Select File" and locate the CSV file that you exported from your previous system.

Step 4. Map out your fields

Map out the fields in your CSV file, including first name, last name, email address, and any tags that you want to import.

Some will automatically map, some you may need to add, just click the drop down to map it to a similar field.

If the field is not important, at the bottom tick 'Don't import data in 4 unmapped columns'

Click Next

Step 5. Give your import a name

Once you have your fields mapped out, give your import a name and click "Create a List of Contacts."

Step 6. Select advanced options

Select whether you want to create a new smartlist, tag or even add these users to a workflow.

Step 7. Submit your import

Tick the box at the bottom and select Start Bulk Import.

It may take a few minutes for your contacts to appear in your account.

How can I view this was successful?

Once your import is complete, go to the Subscribers tab then Bulk Actions. Click Statistics.

Here you can view if the import was successful. It can take some time depending on the size of your subscribers list.
