FEA Create gives you customisable theme options for your online courses, so you can tailor the look and feel to better match your brand.
You can customise things like colours, fonts, images and different sections of your course. Once you've created a design you love, you can also save it as a template and reuse it for future courses, saving you loads of time!
This tutorial will walk you through how to find and customise your course theme.
Why this is useful
Customising your course theme is a great way to create a more consistent, on-brand experience for your students.
You can create a design once, save it as a template and then use it again when setting up future courses. 🎉
Step 1: Open your course
Go to Courses > Products, then open the course you'd like to customise.
Step 2: Open the Course Customiser
Click Customise.
Step 3: Browse the available themes
You'll see a selection of standard themes available for your course.
Click Browse System Templates to view the available options.
Step 4: Choose a customisable theme
Choose one of the themes that has customisation options available.
The themes and customisation options available may change as FEA Create is updated, so you'll see the options currently available in your account.
Step 5: Create a template
Once you've selected your theme, click Customize, or the Neu Classic theme click Create Template.
This gives you a starting point for creating your own course design, which you can then save and reuse for future courses.
Step 6: Customise your theme
Now you can start tailoring the design to suit your brand. ✨
Depending on the theme you're using, you may be able to customise things such as:
Colours: Choose colours that match your branding.
Fonts: Pick fonts that fit your style and preview different options.
Background images: Use an existing image or upload your own.
Step 7: Edit each section
You can click into different sections of your course page, such as the header, footer or main content, to customise them individually.
This gives you more control over how your course looks and helps you create an experience that feels consistent with your brand.
Step 8: Customise the Lesson View
You can also customise how individual lesson pages look.
Depending on the theme and options available, you may be able to:
Adjust the sidebar content, such as course content, instructor information and downloads
Add an instructor profile
Add an image or offer
In the Neu Classic Theme, use a Custom Block to add extra content, such as text or images
Rearrange the order of items in the sidebar
Step 9: Save and reuse your theme
Once you're happy with your design, save your changes.
You may also have the option to save your customised design as a reusable template. This means you can apply it to future courses without having to start from scratch each time.
