Why Should I Use This?
Setting up a dedicated email domain helps your emails land in your recipients' inbox instead of their spam folder. It also gives your emails a more professional appearance, building trust with your audience.
What Should I Have Set Up Beforehand?
Before you start, make sure you have:
Access to your domain's DNS settings through your provider (like GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google Domains, or Ionos)
Logged into FEA Create
How Long Will This Take?
Setting up a dedicated email domain usually takes around 10-15 minutes. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate, so do not try sending emails during this time.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Navigate to Email Services Settings
From your FEA Create dashboard, click on the "Settings" tab and then select "Email Services."
Step 2: Click Add Dedicated Domain
Select "Add Dedicated Domain" and then click "Add Domain."
Step 3: Add Your Domain
Type "lc.yourdomain.com" (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain) and click "Add and Verify."
IMPORTANT: You must add this as lc.yourdomain. Do not use anything other than lc or it may cause issues with your business email hosting.
Step 4: Add Your DNS Records
If your domain is with GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google Domains, or Ionos, the system will automatically add most of the required DNS records for you.
If you are using a different provider, you will need to manually add all of the DNS records provided. This includes:
Two TXT records
Two MX records
One CNAME record
Important: Add the DMARC TXT records manually
There are two DMARC TXT records you need to check or add:
For FEA Create emails
Type: TXT
Host:
_dmarc.lcValue:
v=DMARC1; p=none;
For your business email domain
Type: TXT
Host:
_dmarcValue:
v=DMARC1; p=none;
Both are essential for proper email delivery. The first helps FEA Create emails reach inboxes safely, and the second protects your business email and prevents it from landing in spam.
If you would like extra help adding these records, our 24/7 chat support team can walk you through it. Just click the chat bubble and ask to speak to an agent 💕
Step 5: Verify Your DNS Records
Once all DNS records are added, click "Verify." Verification may take a few minutes. If you see "SSL pending," click "Verify" again. It can take up to 48 hours for your records to propagate.
How Can I Test This to See If It Is Working?
Please wait 48 hours for your records to propagate.
After verification and once DNS changes have fully propagated, send a test email to yourself or a colleague. Check that the email arrives in the inbox and that the sending domain matches your dedicated domain.
If everything looks correct, your setup is complete and ready to use.
