How to set up a Private Integration in FEA Create

If you previously used an API key in FEA Create, you may notice that creating or refreshing API keys is no longer supported.

This is because FEA Create now uses Private Integrations instead.

Private Integrations are a more secure way to connect FEA Create with other apps and tools.

Private integrations in FEA Create are designed for more advanced users who want to connect third-party apps to your platform. These integrations often require hiring a developer and need an API key to allow the external app to communicate with FEA Create securely.

Before You Start

If you already have an older API connection set up, you will first need to remove the old connection from the app or platform where you originally added the API key.

Once the old connection has been removed, you can create a new Private Integration inside FEA Create.

Step 1: Access Private Integrations

Go to Settings, then select Private Integrations. Here, you'll be able to manage your existing integrations and create new ones.

Step 2: Create a New Integration

Click Create New Integration. Give your integration a clear and descriptive name so it's easy to identify later.

Step 3: Set Permissions

Choose the scope of your integration. This defines what parts of your FEA Create account the third-party app can access. Examples include calendars, events, and other areas you want the integration to view or edit. Select the appropriate permissions for your integration.

Step 4: Generate the API Key

Once you've set the scope, click Create. FEA Create will generate an API key for you. Share this key with the third-party app developer so they can complete the setup.

Your private integration is now ready to use. The third-party app can securely access the areas you allowed, using the API key you generated.
