How to Create an Event in FEA Create

Create an event in FEA Create, whether you're hosting a free event or selling tickets.

Want to host a workshop, webinar, networking event or something else exciting?

🎉 You can create and manage your events directly inside FEA Create.

You can set up a free event where people RSVP to confirm their attendance, or a ticketed event where you sell tickets. You can also customise your event page, send reminders and check people in using the FEA Create mobile app.

Let's get your event set up!

Step 1: Create your event

  1. Head to Create Your Offer in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Events.

  3. If this is your first time using Events, you'll see an introduction screen. Click Create Your Event.

  4. Choose the type of event you'd like to create:

    • Ticketed event: Sell tickets to your event.

    • RSVP event: Allow people to register for a free event and confirm their attendance.

  5. Click Continue.

Important: Choose your event type carefully, as you'll need to create a new event if you want to use a different type later.

Step 2: Add your event details

Next, you'll add the basic information about your event.

Fill in the following details:

  • Event name: Give your event a clear name.

  • Summary: Write a short introduction to your event.

  • Description: Add more information about what attendees can expect.

You can use the description to explain what your event is about, who it's for and what people will get out of attending.

Once you're happy with your details, click Continue.

Step 3: Set your date and time

Now it's time to choose when your event will take place.

  1. Set the start date and time.

  2. Set the end date and time.

  3. Choose the correct time zone.

  4. Select your preferred time display format.

Your event can run for a couple of hours, a full day or multiple days, depending on what you're planning.

Make sure you select the correct time zone so your attendees know exactly when to join you.

Click Continue when you're ready.

Step 4: Add your event location

Next, choose where your event will take place.

For an in-person event

Select the in-person option and search for your event address.

For an online event

Select the online option and add the link to your meeting room, such as your Zoom meeting link.

Click Continue to move on to the next step.

Step 5: Add your organiser information

Add the details of the person or business organising the event.

You'll be asked to provide:

  • Organiser name: Your name or business name.

  • Email address: An email address attendees can use to contact you.

  • Website: Your website address, if you have one.

  • Phone number: Your contact number, if you'd like to include it.

Once you've added your details, continue to create your event.

You'll now be taken to your event dashboard, where you can manage and customise everything.

Step 6: Set up your tickets

If you've created a ticketed event, you can now set up the tickets you'd like to offer.

For example, you could offer a Standard ticket and a VIP ticket with different prices or benefits.

For each ticket type, you'll be able to configure:

  • Ticket name: Give your ticket a name, such as Standard or VIP.

  • Price: Choose whether the ticket is free or paid and enter the price if applicable.

  • Quantity: Set how many tickets you'd like to make available.

  • Maximum tickets per order: Choose how many tickets someone can purchase in one order.

  • Sale period: Set when ticket sales open and close.

You can create multiple ticket types to suit your event.

Once you've finished setting up your tickets, click Save.

Step 7: Customise your checkout form

Next, you can review and customise the form people will complete when registering for your event.

This is your chance to make the checkout experience feel more like your brand!

Depending on the options available, you can customise things such as:

  • The checkout title.

  • The form fields.

  • Your branding and colours.

  • Coupons for ticket discounts.

  • Your terms and conditions.

Take a moment to review the form and make sure it collects the information you need from your attendees.

Step 8: Customise your event page

Your event page is where people can find out more about your event before registering.

Head to the event details and page customisation options to review the information displayed on your page.

You can manage the different sections of your event page, including information about your event and the organiser. You can also remove sections you don't need, such as speaker information, if they aren't relevant to your event.

Make sure your page clearly explains what your event is about and gives people the information they need before signing up.

You can also review the design and colours to help your event page match your branding.

Step 9: Set up your notifications

You can choose which notifications you'd like to receive when people register for your event.

For example, you can configure notifications for new registrations and receive a summary email to help you keep track of your ticket sales.

Depending on your preferences, you can enable or disable the available notifications and choose from options such as email, SMS or WhatsApp where supported.

Review the available settings and choose the notifications that work best for you.

Step 10: Set up event reminders

Want to remind your attendees about your event before it starts? You can configure reminders to help people remember to attend.

Choose when you'd like reminders to be sent. For example, you might want to send a reminder three days before your event and another 24 hours before it begins.

Review the available reminder options and set them up to suit your event.

Step 11: Set your event URL and embed your event page

Your event will have its own URL that you can share with people who want to register.

You can customise the URL slug, which is the final part of your event link.

For example, you might use a slug such as my-event, making your event URL easier to recognise and share.

You can also use the available embed code to add your event to a page on your website.

Once you've finished reviewing your settings, click Save Changes to save your updates.

Step 12: Publish your event

You're nearly there! 🎉

Before publishing, take a moment to review your event details, ticket options, checkout form and notifications.

When everything looks good, click Publish Events.

Your event is now ready to share with your audience!

Step 13: Manage your attendees and check people in

Once people start registering, you can use your event dashboard to see who's attending.

You can also check people in when they arrive using the FEA Create mobile app.

This makes it easier to keep track of your attendees and manage registrations on the day of your event.

And that's it! You're ready to start promoting your event and welcoming your attendees. 💖
