Why create a quiz?
Quizzes help you connect with your audience in a more interactive way. They can be used to test understanding, segment your audience based on their answers, recommend the right product or service, or guide people towards a relevant next step.
They are also a great way to collect useful insights and contact details while providing genuine value.
Please note: Quizzes in FEA Create work best when they are based on scoring. While they can be used for simple personality-style outcomes, they do not fully support preference-based personality quizzes at this time. For the best experience, we recommend using clear scoring with defined result ranges.
For example, if your quiz has 10 questions, you could assign points to each answer (e.g., Answer 1 = 1 point, Answer 2 = 5 points, Answer 3 = 10 points). Then, your results could be defined as low = 0-39, medium = 40-79, and high = 80-100 points.
What do I need to do before?
Before you start building your quiz, it helps to have a few things clear:
The goal of your quiz and what you want people to learn or discover.
The number of questions you would like to include.
Your result categories, for example low, medium and high.
Any links you want to include in your results, such as a freebie, booking page or next step offer.
How long will this take?
Most quizzes take around 15 to 20 minutes to set up, depending on how familiar you are with the quiz builder.
Step 1: Create a new quiz
Start by heading into FEA Create.
Go to Websites & Funnels, then select Quizzes and Builder.
Click Add Quiz.
You can choose to start from a template or from scratch. Once selected, you will be taken into the Quiz Builder where you can name your quiz.
Step 2: Build your questions
On the left-hand side of the builder, you will see a list of question types, such as Single Choice, Multiple Choice, Yes or No and Text Answer.
Drag a question type into your quiz.
Click on the question to edit it and:
Add your question text.
Add your answer options.
Assign a score to each answer if you are using results based on scoring.
When creating a scored quiz, we recommend using the overall category and keeping scoring consistent across questions. This makes your results clearer and easier to manage.
Step 3: Add more quiz elements
Each page of your quiz can include one or more questions. To add another page, click Add New Page.
You can also add extra elements to support your quiz, such as:
Text boxes for longer, open-ended answers.
Name and email fields to capture contact details.
Images to make your quiz more engaging.
Videos using the HTML option.
Step 4: Set up notifications
Click the bell icon on the left hand side of the quiz builder.
Here you can turn on notifications or autoresponders so you are alerted when someone completes your quiz or so results can be emailed automatically.
You can also connect quiz completion or results to workflows if you would like to automate follow-up actions.
Step 5: Style your quiz
Click the design icon on the right-hand side of the builder.
This is where you can make your quiz feel aligned with your brand by adjusting:
Background colours.
Header images.
Fonts and layout options.
A progress bar so people can see how far along they are.
Step 6: Set up results
Your results template is where the real magic happens, as this is what people see once they have completed the quiz.
Click Edit Template at the end of your quiz to open the results builder.
Inside the results template, you can click on each section to customise it. This includes the header and footer, which are very important as they help your quiz feel on brand and provide context or instructions to your participants.
You can:
Hide sections you do not need, such as the Category score, if you prefer to keep results simple.
Turn dynamic content on so you can show different text, links, and calls to action for low, medium and high results.
Edit the call to action section, which is one of the most important parts of the results. This allows you to guide people to the most relevant next step, such as booking a call, downloading a free resource, or visiting a specific page based on their score.
Rename result levels from low, medium and high to labels that feel more aligned with your brand and message. You can even adjust the names, and colours so everything feels clear and intentional.
Update the header and footer to match your branding and provide context or instructions for the quiz taker.
Once you are happy with your results template, save your changes.
Step 7: Share your quiz
When you are ready to share your quiz, click Integrate in the top right-hand corner.
From here, you can embed your quiz on a website or funnel page, or generate a shareable link to use in emails, social posts, or direct messages.
Step 8: Review and test
Before sharing your quiz with your audience, it is important to test it.
Complete the quiz yourself as though you are a customer and:
Check that questions display correctly.
Confirm scoring works as expected.
Make sure the correct results and calls to action appear.
Once everything looks good, click Save.
Your quiz is now ready to share and start supporting your audience and your business.
What next?
Once your quiz is ready, there are a few ways to use it:
Embed it directly into a funnel and use the call to action from your results template to send participants to a funnel step.
Share it on your social media platforms to attract more engagement and new leads.
Add a link to your website so visitors can take the quiz anytime.
