Creating paid communities within your FEA Create community area can be a fantastic way to monetize your expertise and provide exclusive content or interactions to your audience. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of setting up paid communities to offer premium experiences to your members.
Step 1: Access Your Community Area
In FEA Create, go to Create Your Offer, then Communities, then Groups.
Find the group you'd like to charge for and click Login to open it as an admin.
Step 2: Access Group Settings
Click the Settings tab at the top of your community, then select Subscriptions from the menu on the left. This is where you manage the payment settings for your group.
Step 3: Configure Payment Options
In Subscriptions, you'll see Manage community subscription. This is where you create the pricing plans for your community and control access, pricing and trials.
Click Add plan.
Give your plan a name and a short description, for example "Classic: Be part of the community, join discussions and stay connected."
Set the price, how often members pay (for example monthly or yearly) and a free trial if you'd like one.
Save your plan.
Want to give members a choice? Click Add plan again to create more options, like a monthly and a yearly plan, or a standard and a VIP tier.
Once your plans are set up, you can:
Turn a plan on or off with the Active toggle
Click Edit to change a plan's details
Drag plans into the order you'd like members to see them
See how many members are on each plan
Click Preview member view to see your plans the way new members will
Good to know: If Make this community free is turned on, members join for free and your paid plans are paused. Make sure it's turned off when you're ready to start charging.
Step 4: Launch Paid Communities
Once you've configured the payment settings, your community group will be set up as a paid group. When someone attempts to join the group, they will need to go through a checkout process to pay for access.
This means you can offer premium content, interactions, or experiences within your community, and members will have to subscribe or make a payment to access these benefits.
Setting up paid communities can help you generate revenue and provide exclusive value to your community members.
Enjoy creating and managing your thriving paid communities!
